Mushroom Madness Sandwich



Indulge in the umami richness of mushrooms with this delectable sandwich. Sautéed mushrooms with garlic, layered with provolone cheese, and peppery arugula, all hugged between slices of toasted bread make for a mouthwatering experience.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 slices bread of choice
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Handful of arugula
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Put olive oil in a pan and heat it over medium-low heat

Add the mushrooms and minced garlic

Saut until the mushrooms are golden brown and soft

Toast pieces of bread

Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on slices of toasted bread

Put provolone cheese on two pieces of bread

Add mushrooms and garlic that have been sauted to the cheese

Put arugula on top of the mushrooms

Add pepper and salt to taste

Add the last few slices of bread to make sandwiches

Serve the sandwiches by cutting them in half
